Tuesday morning I went to the Unemployment Office early to apply for extended benefites on my unemployment. I was so nervous. Why is it that we ask God for what we need and trust that He will provide and then worry about it? Because we are human. Anyhow, it was approved - I got the official notice from the Columbia office today - and I will continue to get $140/week (which buys our groceries) for another 3 months at least. Now I must have faith that Congress will sign the bill SOON.
Otherwise this week I received my last check. I am trying to find a job and I believe the right one for me will turn up when God is ready for me to get one. I was also afraid that without the extension I wouldn't be able to go on the trip to MS with my brothers and sisters and Mother. But I am going and can hardly wait for the 27th when we leave.

Living One Day at a Time
Hello there,
I can't really imagine anyone looking at my blog to see what I wrote; however, I hope you will. What I miss the most about being retired is being with and around people. I am definitely a people person.
I greet even strangers with a smile - a genuine smile. I am a happy person. I am likely to strike up a conversation with anyone. I really love children and they seem to like me.
I am a Christian. Hopefully, the beauty of Jesus is seen in me. I strive to treat others the way I want to be treated. Knowing that God has "His eye on the sparrow" encourages me each day. If He cares about the birds, then I know He cares for me.
This blogging experience is so new to me; I hope that I do it justice.
